The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Canada have signed a treaty to facilitate feature film, television and digital coproduction.

Ukraine’s Minister of Culture Yevhen Nyshchuk wrote this on his Facebook page.

"A significant event is taking place today, which will give a rise to the cooperation between Ukraine and Canada in the joint audiovisual coproduction. We have opened the way for cooperation between film makers of our countries to create a product that, I believe, will be interesting not only to the citizens of Ukraine and Canada, but will also enrich the world culture and gain recognition of the world community,¨ Nyshchuk wrote.

He also noted that the event was preceded by the long-term work of Ukrainian and Canadian experts in drafting and preparing the treaty.
