About 197,000 Ukrainians visited Russian-occupied Crimea in May - Slobodian

The number of Ukrainians visiting Russian-occupied Crimea remains almost unchanged compared to last year, Oleh Slobodian, an aide to the chairman of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service, has told an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We do not see an increase in the number of Ukrainians going to rest. About 197,000 people crossed the administrative border with Crimea in May 2019 and about 190,000 in May last year. That is, the increase is not significant and it would be inappropriate to talk about some kind of a sharp increase in the number of those going to rest," Slobodian said.
He also noted that 30,000 fewer people crossed the administrative border with Crimea in June 2019 compared to the same period in 2018.
