Ukrainian director Nariman Aliev becomes European Film Academy member

Ukrainian director of Crimean Tatar origin Nariman Aliev has become a member of the European Film Academy.

"Aliev has become the fortieth Ukrainian filmmaker in the ranks of European film academicians," the Ukrainian State Film Agency reports.

As noted, Nariman Aliev directed a short film of the Crimean Stories trilogy. His directorial debut in full-length feature meter – Homeward - represented Ukraine in the Un Certain Regard program at the Cannes International Film Festival this year.
