Tourist flow from Ukraine to Turkey grows by almost 14%

The number of Ukrainian tourists who visited Turkey in January-May 2019 increased by 13.8% compared to the same period of 2018, according to the Turkish Embassy in Ukraine.

"According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, during four months of 2019, Turkey was visited by 211,804 Ukrainians, which is 13.82% more than in the same period of 2018. According to the results of the first quarter, Ukraine entered the top 10 countries," reads the statement.

The summer season has just started, and the Turkish resorts are already popular among holidaymakers.

Thus, in January-May 2019, the number of Ukrainian tourists in Antalya reached 164,922 (an increase of 5.05%). The resorts in Mugla (Fethiye, Marmaris, Dalaman, Bodrum) received 4,724 Ukrainians (the increase in tourist flow was 306%).

There is also a steady growth in tourist flow to Istanbul. In January-April, 116,112 Ukrainian tourists visited the city, which is 6.4% more than in the same period of the previous year.
