Committee recommends VR to rename Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy has recommended the Parliament to approve bills on renaming Kirovohrad and Dnipropetrovsk regions to Kropyvnytskyi and Sicheslavsk regions, respectively.
The decision was approved at a meeting of the committee on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"The committee recommends the Verkhovna Rada to preliminary approve the draft law, submitted by 153 MPs, on amendments to Article 133 of the Constitution on renaming Kirovohrad region,” said deputy chairman of the committee, Vasyl Yanitskyi.
The similar decision was approved by the committee regarding the bill on renaming Dnipropetrovsk region.
