Poll: 57% of Ukrainians support accession to EU

A total of 57% of polled Ukrainians said they would support Ukraine's accession to the European Union, the relevant poll results were made public at a press conference on Thursday.

In particular, if a relevant referendum is held, 57% of those polled said they would support Ukraine’s joining the EU. At the same time, 19.6% of respondents said they would support the restoration of pragmatic economic relations with Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.

And 48.9% of the respondents said they would vote for Ukraine's accession to NATO, while 23.2% would support a non-aligned status of Ukraine.

The survey was conducted jointly by the Rating, the Social Monitoring Center and the Ukrainian Institute of Social Research in the period from April 30 to May 10, 2019 in 24 regions of Ukraine and the city of Kyiv. A total of 3,000 respondents were polled.
