Justice Ministry already recovered UAH 1.8 bln in child support debts

The state enforcement officers of the Justice Ministry of Ukraine have recovered UAH 1.8 billion in child support debts since the start of the year.

Deputy Justice Minister on Enforcement Service Svitlana Hlushchenko has stated this, according to the ministry’s press service.

“Since the start of the year, the enforcement officers of the Justice Ministry have already collected UAH 1.8 billion in child support debts, which is UAH 598 million more compared with the corresponding period in 2018, when UAH 1.2 billion was collected,” she said.

Hlushchenko also stressed that there is a dynamics of increase in alimony payments by almost half as compared with the corresponding period in 2018.

“Thus, we can say with certainty that the laws are in force,” she added.
