Ukrainian Parliament Human Rights Commissioner Liudmyla Denisova and French Human Rights Ambassador François Croquette discussed the observance of human rights in Ukraine.

In particular, they discussed the protection of the rights of national minorities and IDPs, and the human rights situation in certain regions of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"Separately, we focused on Ukrainian political prisoners and prisoners of war in the territory of the Russian Federation and the occupied Crimea. There are already 113 people. François Croquette said that he had communicated with Russian  Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, but this conversation had not given any positive results," she wrote on Facebook.

The Ukrainian commissioner thanked the French ambassador for the position of French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war. François Croquette assured that France would continue to support Ukraine, using all international platforms for this.
