Sixty more convicts transferred from occupied Donbas to government-controlled Ukraine

Sixty convicts have been transferred from the occupied areas of Luhansk region to the government-controlled territory of Ukraine, Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova informs.

"Today, 60 convicts, who were held in the penitentiary institutions in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region, were transferred to the town of Shchastia to continue to serve the sentence on the territory under the control of the Government of Ukraine,” she posted on Facebook.

Denisova notes that her team managed to transfer 195 Ukrainian citizens from the occupied areas of Luhansk region from December 2018 to April 2019 - 34 of them have been already released.
