In addition, according to her, the SBI is conducting an investigation in a criminal proceeding regarding the "provision" of an unlawful benefit to the NABU director by a former MP, chairman of the board of PJSC Energomerezha Holding Company Kriuchkov and other unidentified individuals.

Earlier, the media published a statement by Kriuchkov that NABU Director Sytnyk received a $500,000 bribe from Energomerezha for assistance in an investigation.

Kriuchkov, suspected of causing damage to the state in the amount of over UAH 346 million, was arrested in Germany on April 14, 2018, and later released on bail. He was extradited from Germany to Ukraine on April 15.
