US Under Secretary of State honors memory of Heavenly Hundred Heroes. Photos

As an Ukrinform correspondent reports, David Hale was accompanied by US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, embassy staff and Ukrainian MP Svitlana Zalishchuk. She told Hale about the events that had occurred on the Instytutska Street five years ago, and showed the places of death of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, who had given their lives for freedom during the Revolution of Dignity.

United States Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs David Hale arrived in Kyiv on March 5. He intends to meet with senior Ukrainian officials, discuss the upcoming elections and anti-corruption measures and human rights issues with officials and civil society leaders.

On March 7, Mr Hale will hold a press conference on the results of his visit to Ukraine and the current relations between Ukraine and the United States.
