International organizations to allocate over UAH 5 bln for projects in Donetsk region

International organizations will allocate more than UAH 5 billion for the implementation of projects in Donetsk region in 2019-2020, according to the Information and Internal Policy Department at Donetsk Military-Civil Regional Administration.

"Within 2019-2020, 11 projects are planned to be implemented in the region using the funds totaling over UAH 5 billion allocated by donors and international organizations,” the report says.

According to the Regional Administration, this was announced by Director of the Investment-Innovation Development and External Relations Department Oksana Holovko at the board meeting on March 2.

She stressed that last year the decision was made to assist economic development projects in the region.

Among the main partners of Donetsk region are the governments of EU countries, the USA and Japan, and international organizations such as the Norwegian Refugee Council, UNICEF, the Red Cross Society and the Luxembourg Red Cross Society in Ukraine, Holovko added.
