Odesa region should become leader in Eastern European tourism industry – president

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this during his working trip to Odesa region on Saturday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"I am convinced that Odesa should become the leader of the Eastern European tourism industry," the president said.

According to him, Odesa region has all opportunities for the development of marine, rural and green tourism.

Poroshenko also called the components of the international tourism recognition of the region. First of all, these are high-quality roads, the head of state noted.

The president recalled the completion of the construction of the Odesa-Reni highway.

The construction of a number of roads and the completion of the construction of a new runway at the Odesa airport are next in line, the president added.
