A total of 1.9 mln foreign tourists visited Kyiv last year

"In 2018, some 1,9 million foreign guests and 3 million domestic tourists visited Kyiv. In total, this is 800 thousand people more than in 2017. We also have a positive dynamics of receipt of funds from tourist tax to the city budget. Last year we received UAH 32.9 million, which is almost twice as much as in 2016. We see that the city has chosen the right strategy - to promote the image of the capital of Ukraine as a safe city with good service and low prices for rest and food," the chairman of the Kyiv City Council's standing commission on budget issues, Andriy Strannikov, said.

The city council approved the city target program for tourism development for 2019-2021. The total amount of funds required for the implementation of all planned activities is UAH 219 million.
