Ukrainian President’s wife Maryna Poroshenko has said that almost every fourth school in Ukraine implements principles of inclusive education.

She stated this at a special meeting dedicated to the implementation of inclusive education reform in the city of Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"According to the latest data, almost every fourth school in Ukraine introduces the inclusive principle of education. Of course, such a trend confidently brings us closer to European living standards. At present in Ukraine, the fate of almost one million children depends on the reform of inclusive education," she said.

Maryna Poroshenko added that when the Poroshenko Charity Foundation together with the government and educators launched the reform of inclusive education in 2016, almost 87% of children with special needs in Ukraine were isolated from studying at comprehensive education establishments.
