On January 20, two more parishes of the former Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Vinnytsia region joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine - in Penkivka, Litynskyi district and Zhuravlivka, Tulchynskyi district.

Secretary of the Vinnytsia Diocesan Administration of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine Protodeacon Vladyslav Demchenko told this to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Yesterday two communities of the Moscow Patriarchate decided to transfer to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine. The first one is Penkivka, Litinskyi district, where the voting was held. Out of 155 people, only one was against the decision. Also, Zhuravlivka, Tulchynskyi district, voted unanimously for its withdrawal from the Moscow Patriarchate and the transition to the Orthodox Church of Ukraine,” said Demchenko.

As of January 21, more than thirty parishes in Vinnytsia region joined the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
