The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has detained an anti-Ukrainian propagandist who was expelled from the Russian Federation, the SBU's press center has reported.

"Starting from 2014, the agitator distributed anti-Ukrainian materials on the Internet, promoted the confrontation between Ukrainians because of political convictions, publicly called for violation of the territorial integrity of Ukraine," the report reads.

According to the SBU, in August 2015, having left for the temporarily occupied territories in Donbas and subsequently for Russia, she constantly called for changing the boundaries of the territory or the state system of Ukraine.

On December 14 last year, the propagandist was placed on the wanted list, and on December 15, Halytsky District Court of Lviv granted permission to detain her in order to allow for consideration of a petition for the use of a preventive measure – remanding in custody, the SBU said.

The investigation in criminal proceedings opened under Part 2 of Article 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is being conducted by the investigating department of the SBU directorate in Lviv region.
