Yelchenko discusses situation in Donbas with UN OCHA Ukraine chief

Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko met with the new chief of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Ukraine, Alice Sequi.

The meeting was devoted to humanitarian needs in Donbas, Ukraine's Permanent Mission to the UN informed on its Twitter page.

“Ukraine is grateful to UN OCHA for its efforts in alleviating the plight of Ukrainians affected by Russian military aggression,” the report says.

As a reminder, according to the latest UN information, about 3.5 million people in the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine need help, and more than 3,000 civilians have been killed since the beginning of the war in 2014. The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs supports the civilian population of Donbas, delivering humanitarian aid and providing support to people in need.
