In 2018, Kyiv set 28 temperature records. In particular, May temperatures hit 12 records.
"The climatologists of the Borys Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory summed up the weather results of 2018 in the capital of Ukraine. Kyiv set 28 temperature records (May hit 12 of them), exceeding the previous indices," the observatory reports.
The average annual temperature of last year in Kyiv was + 9.5°C, exceeding the climatic norm by1.8°C.
Most of the months saw a significant excess of average monthly temperature with regard to the climatic norm, except for March and November, which turned out to be colder than the climatic norm.
