The staff of the British Embassy in Ukraine sang a well-known carol to congratulate Ukrainians on upcoming Christmas holidays.

The video was published on the Embassy’s Facebook page.

"The British Embassy has prepared vocal and instrumental greetings on occasion of upcoming holidays. The staff of the Embassy played musical instruments and sang a well-known Ukrainian carol," reads the statement.

"After Ukrainians had acclaimed our dance greetings on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day, we decided to show other talents of the staff of our diplomatic mission. Paying tribute to Ukrainian traditions, we present our performance of a famous Christmas carol," the press service of the Embassy says.

As it has turned out in the process of preparation, many diplomats play various musical instruments and love to sing. British Ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough, who plays a triangle on the video, notes that the tradition of carol singing also exists in the UK but she takes part in performance of Ukrainian Christmas carols for the first time.

Ambassador Gough and the British Embassy in Ukraine congratulate Ukrainians on upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays and wish a happy 2019 year!
