State Border Service: 27 million foreigners visit Ukraine this year

In total, 27 million foreigners crossed the border, the State Border Service of Ukraine informed on its Facebook page.

"Most of all, the citizens of Moldova (4.1 million), Belarus (2.5 million), Russia (1.5 million) and Poland (1 million) visited Ukraine. Also, a significant tourist flow was observed from Hungary (828 thousand), Romania (645 thousand), Israel (296 thousand), Slovakia (294 thousand) and Turkey (287 thousand)," the report reads.

At the same time, the State Border Service recorded an increase in tourists to Ukraine from the UK (+33 thousand), the USA (+30 thousand), Germany (25 thousand), Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, France, Sweden, Canada (an increase from 5 thousand to 7 thousand), Spain, Italy, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, China (an increase from 10 thousand to 15 thousand), Saudi Arabia and Japan (+ 3 thousand each).

The statistics demonstrates a steady trend towards an increase in the number of foreign citizens crossing the Ukrainian border.
