Over third of Ukrainians not supporting mass protests - poll

More than 30% of Ukrainians do not support mass protests in Ukraine, according to a survey conducted by the Ukrainian Institute for Social Research named after Oleksandr Yaremenko and the Social Monitoring Center.

The leaders of the organizations, Olha Balakireva and Dmytro Dmytruk, presented the results of the survey at a press conference on Friday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

The survey shows that 39% of respondents do not support mass protests in Ukraine. At the same time, 36.7% of Ukrainians support such rallies but are not ready to take part in them personally. Some 17.4% of those polled said they were ready to take part in protests, and 6.8% could not answer.

The poll was conducted from December 1 to December 10. A total of 2,198 respondents from all regions of Ukraine, except for occupied territories, were interviewed. The poll's margin of error is 2.1%
