The government adopted a strategy to provide the population with medicines until 2025.

Acting Health Minister Ulana Suprun wrote this on her Facebook page.

“The government adopted the strategy for providing the population with medicines until 2025, it was developed based on WHO recommendations. Therefore, the Health Ministry and the government received guidelines for the next 6 years - how to implement strategies and procedures on ensuring the quality of medicines, which will help provide more patients with expensive treatment and create conditions for lowering medicines’ prices,” she said.

According to Suprun, the strategy envisages that official information on the efficacy and safety of medicines will be as accessible as possible. Special attention will be also paid to the physical access of patients to medicines: the premises of pharmacies will be equipped with the necessary ramps for people with disabilities and people with limited mobility.

“Due to the strategy, we will be able to increase the access of Ukrainians to high-quality, effective and safe medicines", Suprun wrote.
