State leaders honor memory of Heavenly Hundred Heroes (photos)

President Petro Poroshenko, president’s wife Maryna Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy have paid tribute to the Heavenly Hundred – the protesters killed during the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014.

This is reported by the president’s press service.

“President Petro Poroshenko together with his wife Maryna Poroshenko participated in the ceremony to commemorate the Heavenly Hundred Heroes,” reads the report.

The officials lit candles in the memory of the diseased near the monument of the Heavenly Hundred in Kyiv.

Today, November 21, Ukraine marks the Day of Dignity and Freedom. The holiday was established in honor of the commencement on this day of two significant and fateful events in contemporary Ukrainian history - the 2004 Orange Revolution and the 2013 Revolution of Dignity.
