The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has expressed concern about an attack on St. Andrew's Church in Kyiv and stated support for the right of all religious groups to practice their beliefs without persecution or attack.

"We are very concerned by reports of an attack on St. Andrew's Church in Kyiv today. We support the right of all religious groups to practice their beliefs free from persecution, interference, or attack," the embassy reported on its Twitter account.

Early on Thursday, November 15, two unidentified young men tried to set fire to one of the entrances to St. Andrew's Church in Kyiv by throwing Molotov cocktails at the building.
