Over 35,000 measles cases recorded in Ukraine in 2018 – Health Ministry

Over 35 thousand people have contracted measles in Ukraine since the start of the year, including over 21 thousand children.
Director General of the Center of the Public Health Center at the Health Ministry of Ukraine Volodymyr Kurpita said this at a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“As of October 26, 35,233 people have fallen with measles since the beginning of the year, including 21,468 children. A total of 22,995 people that contracted measles had not been vaccinated,” he said.
According to him, the largest number of measles cases was recorded in Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions.
