Law enforcement system requires introduction of latest technologies – Avakov

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov considers that it is necessary to bring modern technologies to Ukraine’s law enforcement system.

He stated this during a visit to the International Exhibition of Internal Security Technologies and Police Equipment MILIPOL Qatar 2018 on October 31, the press service of the Interior Ministry reported.

“Our law enforcement system requires the introduction of latest technologies. We have launched the Safe City Program in the entire territory of our state. It has already started operating in Mariupol, Kyiv and Dnipro. The basis of its activity is to use modern information and computer systems, providing the possibility of round-the-clock monitoring of the operational situation. Our cameras can work without electricity for a long time, at night and in all weather conditions,” Avakov said.

In turn, Head of the National Police Serhiy Kniazev noted that Ukraine is a state that has experience in military conflicts and high risk situations.
