Kyiv Council allocates additional UAH 100 mln for teacher salaries

The Kyiv City Council has amended the city budget for 2018 and allocated extra UAH 100 million for teacher salaries.
The correspondent decision was approved by 67 deputies at a meeting on Thursday, the city council’s press service reports.
The city budget for 2018 was amended as the revenue part of the budget’s general fund over nine months made up 108.4%. Thus, the deputies decided to direct UAH 100 million for the education sector. These funds will be used to pay bonuses and rewards for teachers.
