International training course on nuclear safety began in Kyiv

The five-day training course “Radiological and Nuclear Safety: Prevention and Response” began in Kyiv on October 15, the press service of the National Police of Ukraine reports.

"The training course began today [October 15] in Kyiv under the auspices of INTERPOL’s General Secretariat. 50 participants take part in the training. Among them are representatives of the law enforcement agencies of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania and Turkey," reads the report.

In addition, representatives of INTERPOL’s General Secretariat and the United States Department of Energy take part in the event.

Participants from Ukraine include representatives of the State Border Guard Service, State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate, Security Service, National Guard, State Emergency Service, and National Police.
