Health Ministry: Over 142,000 people fell ill with flu and acute respiratory infections over past week

Over the past week, more than 142,000 people fell ill with flu and acute respiratory infections in Ukraine.
Director General of the Center of the Public Health Center at the Health Ministry of Ukraine Volodymyr Kurpita said this at a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Flu sickness rate is growing in Ukraine. During the first reporting week, 143,052 people fell ill with flu, 71.2% of whom were children under the age of 17,” he said.
According to Kurpita, no deaths from flu-related complications have been recorded.
