President presents awards to representatives of Ukrainian community in U.S.

President Petro Poroshenko has presented state awards at a meeting with the leaders of the Ukrainian community in the United States, the press service of the head of state has said.

The president handed over the Order of Merit to U.S. State Senator Mark Anthony Miloscia for his significant personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of the Ukrainian state, development of interstate cooperation, fruitful public and humanitarian activities.

Poroshenko presented the Order of Princess Olga to Lubow Wolynetz, the curator and librarian of the Ukrainian Museum and Library of the Stamford Diocese of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in the U.S.

The head of state also handed over the Order of Merit to President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America Andriy Futey for his significant personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of the Ukrainian state, the development of interstate cooperation, fruitful social and humanistic activities.
