The conclusion of the agreement took place during visits of a delegation from Kutaisi to Sumy on the occasion of the 363rd anniversary of the city, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"This is another achievement for Sumy. We hope that this agreement will be another impetus to the development of our city," Mayor of Sumy Oleksandr Lysenko said during the signing of the document, expressing hope for close cooperation with the Georgian side in various sectors, including culture, sport, tourism, education, health, local government and economy.
In turn, Giorgi Giorgobiani, Head of the Department for Economic Development, Communal Property and Transport Service of Kutaisi, noted that the conclusion of this agreement would allow Ukrainian and Georgian cities to expand the range of cooperation.
