Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has congratulated the Muslims of Ukraine and the world on the Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice).

He wrote this on his Twitter page.

"I congratulate all Muslims of Ukraine and the world on the bright Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha! Kurban Bayrami symbolizes the power of spirit, mercy, justice and responsibility," the minister said.

At the same time, he stressed that he admires and honors the strength and values of Crimean Tatar compatriots.

Kurban Bayrami (Eid al-Adha) is one of the two main holidays of Muslims. It begins 70 days after Eid al-Fitr (the Little Feast), on the day of the end of Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca), and lasts three to four days. This year it began on August 19.
