Man in Zakarpattia region sold his 7-month-old son for almost $4,000 - Abroskin

Law enforcers have detained a resident of Zakarpattia region in western Ukraine, who sold his seven-month-old son for UAH 100,000 (about $3,700), First Deputy Head of the National Police of Ukraine Viacheslav Abroskin has said on his Facebook page.
"Operatives of the territorial units of the National Police of Ukraine detained a 27-year-old native of Zakarpattia region, who sold his seven-month-old son for 100,000 hryvnias," he wrote.
According to Abroskin, the arrest took place on July 30 - the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons.
"This inhuman father and his assistants have been detained," he said.
