Cabinet approves decision on trial population census in Kyiv region in 2019

The Cabinet of Ministers, at the initiative of the Economic Development and Trade Ministry, decided to conduct a trial population census in Ukraine in the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv city and the Borodianskyi district of Kyiv region in December 2019.
The trial population census will be carried out as a part of preparatory activities for the All-Ukrainian Population Census, which is scheduled for 2020, the government’s portal reports.
It is noted that the trial population census will enable forming technologies, developing tools and methods for conducting the All-Ukrainian Population Census; updating the tools for conducting such a census, in particular, testing the use of tablets and laptops during the census so that to accelerate the introduction of statistical information and its processing.
Also, the trial census will contribute to the development of main organizational arrangements for the All-Ukrainian Population Census, including the subsequent analysis of the data.
