Performance in support of Ukrainian political prisoners held in Riga

Posters and leaflets were put up between the trees during the rally in the center of Riga on Sunday, July 15. The main poster was "The Kremlin Will Never Be Washed Off Blood. Georgia. Ukraine. Syria." Activists also hang out various posters and postcards with images of Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia. There were also posters with slogans: "Putin, free the Kremlin's captives!" "Slava Ukraini. Glory to Ukraine," "Free political prisoners," "Freedom to Crimean Muslims," "Freedom to Sentsov!" The event was attended by up to 30 people, including Ukrainian diplomats from the Ukrainian Embassy in Latvia.

During the rally, the interested persons signed a letter to Ukrainian political prisoners with words of support, as well as a collective appeal requesting their release. 

The event was organized by the Latvian Society of Support of Ukraine (Ukrainas Patriotu Kustiba).
