Ukrainian World Congress thanks EU for extending anti-Russian sanctions

The Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) thanks the European Union for making a political decision to extend economic sanctions against the Russian Federation.
“The Ukrainian World Congress thanks the European Union for maintaining sanctions pressure against the Russian Federation and thus demonstrating that violations of fundamental values, such as the territorial integrity of independent states, will not be tolerated,” UWC President Eugene Czolij stated.
The European Council extended economic sanctions against the Russian Federation for an additional six months until January 31, 2019 in response to the lack of progress in the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
