Ukrainian pavilion opens at Cannes Film Festival

The Ukrainian pavilion at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival presents a large number of promotional materials that help foreign filmmakers to familiarize with the new film projects and the progress of development of the national film industry in Ukraine.

This is reported by the press service of the Ukrainian State Film Agency.

"The Ukrainian pavilion, located in the Village International, provides general information about the participants, the progress and achievement of the Ukrainian film market, professional opportunities for filmmaking and the advantages of co-production with the Ukrainian partners," the statement reads.

The teasers of the newest Ukrainian films are shown in the pavilion: the trailers of ready movies and working materials of those still in production. The meetings of Ukrainian producers with foreign filmmakers, festival selectors, representatives of funds and film commissions, distributors from all over the world are planned to be held in the pavillion.

As noted, Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko, First Secretary for Culture at the Embassy of Ukraine in France, writer Irena Karpa as well as Ukrainian and foreign producers have already visited the pavilion.
