Ukrainian documentary The Invisible Battalion has been screened at the Palace of Europe in Strasbourg.

The screening was organized by the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the Council of Europe, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"I believe that everybody in the Council of Europe should watch this documentary, because it tells about war, about people and, most importantly, about the role of a woman in the war," Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe Dmytro Kuleba told Ukrinform.

"The Council of Europe very actively advocates the gender equality. We should remember that there should be the equality for the right to protect the country along with men. Therefore, this movie, its idea resonates with the Council of Europe," the diplomat said.

The Invisible Battalion is the Ukrainian documentary almanac about women amid the military hostilities in eastern Ukraine. This is the first Ukrainian documentary about war and women in the war, which is made by women.
