Almost 15,000 Ukrainians acquired Polish citizenship in past ten years

The citizenship of Poland was granted to 14,902 Ukrainians in 2008- 2017.

The Ministry of Interior and Administration of Poland stated this following a request from an Ukrinform correspondent.

The Polish citizenship was granted to 579 Ukrainians in 2008, and each year this number increased. In particular, the Polish citizenship annually was granted to more than 2,000 Ukrainians over the past three years: in 2015 - 2,012 persons, in 2016 – 2,096 persons, in 2017 - 2,415 persons.

Also, currently more than 150,000 Ukrainians have temporary (up to three years) or permanent residence permits to live in Poland.
