The Cabinet of Ministers at its meeting on Wednesday approved amendments to some laws on ensuring the protection of rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs).

"The draft law is aimed at protecting the rights of internally displaced persons, facilitating their access to justice while protecting these rights, as well as resolving some issues related to their rights to property located in the occupied territories. This is a very important bill that corresponds to the UN guidelines and recommendations of the Council of Europe," said Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories and IDPs Vadym Chernysh, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He also added that the bill will be submitted for parliament’s consideration in the near future.
