One million 303 thousand Ukrainians have left the country to work abroad over the past three years. Only 43% of them have returned home.

Director of the Institute for Economics and Forecasting of the National Academy of Science of Ukraine Valeriy Heyets stated this during the round table meeting "The future of the labor market in Ukraine," an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Over three years, 1 million 303 thousand Ukrainians have left Ukraine. 43% of them have returned back," Heyets said.

According to Heyets, among the reasons why Ukrainians leave the country in search of jobs abroad are low wages, lack of appropriate jobs in Ukraine and unfavorable working conditions.
