Director of the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, senior fellow at the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Iryna Bekeshkina announced the results of the relevant poll.
"As for the ratings of trust, there are almost no sensations. Compared to last year, the ratings of political leaders and state and social institutions are going down, mistrust grows. Ukrainians mistrust most the government of Ukraine, the law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor's offices, the courts, the state apparatus, the President, the National Bank, commercial banks, political parties," Bekeshkina emphasized.
In particular, according to the poll results, Ukrainians trust the least the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (-76%), the state apparatus (-75%), political parties (-71%), the government of Ukraine (-65%), the President of Ukraine (-60%), the courts (-75%), the prosecutor's offices (-74%). Ukrainians also do not trust the commercial banks (-73%) and the National Bank of Ukraine (-67%). The Russian media have the worst balance of trust / mistrust (-77%).
Ukrainians trust most the volunteer organizations (+ 37%), the Ukrainian Armed Forces (+ 37%), the Church (+ 25%), and NGOs (+ 4%).
The poll was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation in partnership with the Razumkov Center on 15-19 December 2017 in all regions of Ukraine except for Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. A total of 2,004 respondents aged 18 years and older were interviewed.
