Ukrainian, Georgian prosecutors discuss extradition

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Georgian Deputy Prosecutor General Giorgi Gogadze have discussed international legal assistance during criminal proceedings and extradition, the press service of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office has reported.

"On January 12, 2018, the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine hosted a meeting between Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Deputy Prosecutor General of Georgia Giorgi Gogadze. During the event, the parties discussed the most urgent issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular, with regard to international legal assistance during criminal proceedings and extradition," reads the report.

The meeting participants positively assessed the existing format of interaction in this area and the opportunity to exchange experience at an expert level.

Summing up the results of the meeting, the sides noted its constructive nature and expressed hope for future cooperation.
