Two million tourists visited Zakarpattia region last year – Moskal

Chairman of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal states that about two million tourists visited Zakarpattia region in 2017.
This has been reported by the press service of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration.
"Over the past year, about two million tourists visited Zakarpattia region, which is about a third more than in 2016. The budget revenues for the provision of tourist services increased by 34.5% compared to 2016," the report reads.
According to the chairman of the region, Berehove, Khust, Svalyava and Rakhiv were the most popular areas for tourists due to hot spring resorts and health and leisure institutions.
