Reva: 746,000 Ukrainians find jobs due to State Employment Service in 2017

The State Employment Service helped 746,000 unemployed Ukrainians to get new jobs in 2017.

Social Policy Minister Andiry Reva stated this at an annual press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In 2017, the number of employed people increased by 6%. A total of 746,000 people were employed in 2017, of which 45% were employed even without the unemployed status. This means that people applied to the employment center and they were immediately offered a job,” Reva said.

According to him, the number of employers that cooperated with employment centers in 2017 increased by 11% and amounted to 177,000. The number of job openings in the database of the State Employment Service grew by 11%, to 968,000.

"As of December 1, 2017, 309,000 unemployed were registered at all employment centers. Among the employed, 11,000 were ATO participants, which is 20% more compared with 2016," he noted.
