The priority issues in the sphere of human rights protection in Ukraine are poverty reduction, the fight against domestic violence, establishment of gender equality, and the fight against various forms of discrimination.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman stated this in his address on the occasion of Human Rights Day, which was posted on the government's official website on December 10.

“It's time for new challenges and great actions. We are implementing structural reforms to promote the welfare of citizens and increase the social status of each individual. The priority issues in the sphere of human rights protection in Ukraine are poverty reduction, the fight against domestic violence, the establishment of gender equality, and the fight against various forms of discrimination,” said Groysman.

He also said that the authorities will overcome all obstacles so that citizens can be proud of their state and believe in the triumph of law and justice, and added that a solid legal and political basis should be created for this an important task.
