Canadian diaspora creates aid fund for ATO veterans

The Ukrainian diaspora in Canada has established a new fund for Ukraine's defenders, which will assist in the rehabilitation of ATO veterans.

"Russia continues to wage war against Ukraine, and we are obliged to support Ukrainian defenders," President of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress Paul Grod said, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, now the fund has USD 100 thousand; this amount of money was collected during a charity event organized in honor of the participants of the Ukrainian team of the Invictus Games during a visit of Petro Poroshenko to Toronto in September.

"Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors during the gala dinner for the Ukrainian team of the Invictus Games, the Ukrainian Canadian Congress will be able to support projects aimed to help wounded soldiers and veterans from Ukraine," he said.
