Foreign Ministry: 650 thousand Ukrainian tourists already visited Egypt this year

Ukrinform
Since the beginning of the year, 650 thousand Ukrainians have already visited Egypt, despite the recommendation of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine to refrain from traveling to this country due to the intensification of radical terrorist groups.

Ukrinform learned this from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

"As of today, the Ukrainian citizens are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the Arab Republic of Egypt, including for tourism purposes, during the state of emergency in the country. However, despite the above-mentioned recommendations 650 thousand Ukrainian citizens visited Egypt since the beginning of the year," the press service stressed.

At the same time, the Embassy of Egypt in Ukraine informs that there are no reasons for concern. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Egypt to Ukraine told Ukrinform that the state of emergency in Egypt should not be an obstacle for visiting this country. According to him, Ukrainian tourism in Egypt continues to grow.

The ambassador says that Ukraine and Egypt should strengthen cooperation in the fields of tourism and business.
