Kyiv's Solomiansky District Court has ordered the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) to open a criminal investigation into the possible illegal enrichment of Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko.

NABU press secretary Svitlana Olifira told this to Ukrinform.

"Information was included in the single register of pre-trial investigations on October 30 pursuant to the Solomiansky District Court decision. Under the management of SAPO prosecutors, detectives are investigating criminal proceedings regarding the probable illegal enrichment of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko," she said.

The prosecutor general has not yet been notified of the suspicion in this criminal case, Olifira added.
